Blue Jean Country Queen Frestival

Found in 1987, The Blue Jean Country Queen Festival is organised by Meath Macra na Feirme and the community of Athboy, Co. Meath. The festival takes place over 3 days each June Bank Holiday weekend and features a pub crawl, nightly live music, family fun days, karaoke, and at the centre of it all the competition to crown the Blue Jean Country Queen. The Blue Jean Country Queen competition itself is open to members of Macra na Feirme (and equivalent organisations abroad) who are over 18. While it is a competition, the focus is much more the contestants having fun and enjoying the weekend while being welcomed into the local community.
