The River Moy has run through this landscape since long before anyone thought to build a town here. Ballina was founded on its banks in 1723, but the stories in these streets and lanes stretch back centuries further still. Whispers of the Moy is a 90-minute guided walking tour led by local guide Clodagh; rebellion, hardship, emigration, revolution and the remarkable people who left their mark on the world. Told from the inside, by a local who believes these stories deserve to be heard. Beginning and ending in the garden of the Jackie Clarke Collection, the tour includes exclusive Saturday access to the Mary Robinson Centre garden. Suitable for all ages.
