At SOLAS, through engaging galleries, visitors discover the stories of local communities, artists and lighthouse keepers, as well as myths, folklore and the dramatic landscapes that shaped this remote Atlantic region. The visitor centre also highlights the rich history of places such as Inishkea, Duvillaun and Blackrock, bringing their past communities and traditions to life. With exhibitions, artefacts, multimedia and local insights, SOLAS provides a vivid introduction to Erris and its island world.
