About this activity

Situated on the bank of the River Arigideen near Courtmacsherry, Timoleague Abbey is a defining feature of Timoleague village. Built in the 13th century on a monastic settlement, the abbey was named after the original founder St Molaga, or 'Tigh Molaga' in Irish. Park the car in the nearby car park and wander through the original stone structure, admiring incredible views of the river as you go. Cap off the experience by preparing a picnic and grabbing one of the picnic tables available onsite.
