About this activity
Ballybunion South Beach is a beautiful stretch of golden sand, surrounded by rocky headlands and high cliffs overlooked by a picture perfect castle. The beach is lifeguarded during the summer months and more information can be found on the noticeboard located at the beach. The area is within a proposed Natural Heritage Area and also forms part of the Lower River Shannon Special Area of Conservation.
